Removal of old parking brake handle:

Method 1:

1. Use a punch to drive roll pin into parking brake handle

2. Once the roll pin is driven into the parking brake assembly the old handle will come off

3. Use punch to drive old roll pin through parking brake handle assembly

Method 2:

1. Tap the roll pin with a punch in a bit enough to start the threaded allen head socket set screw supplied with the new Scott Drake parking brake handle.

2. Screwing the threaded allen head socket set screw into the handle will drive in the roll pin into the assembly.

Installation of new Scott Drake parking brake handle:

1. Align hole for roll pin in the new handle on the assembly. The roll pin hole is on left side of this new handle. The original Ford handle had the hole for roll pin on the right side. This hole in the shaft passes through the assembly, so the handle will install from left or right side.

2. Install new roll pin into the new parking brake handle by slightly tapping with hammer. Make sure that roll pin is not pushed in too far as handle will not slide onto the the shaft of parking brake assembly.

3. Once the new parking brake handle is placed on the shaft of the assembly. Use the hammer to tap the roll pin, so it is flush with parking brake handle.
